(341) 蓬わけて荒れたる庭の月見れば昔すみけん人ぞ恋しき

ヨモギに覆われた庭から月を眺めると、そこに住んでいた人を懐かしく思い出します。

Looking at the moon from the garden covered with mugwort brings me back fond memories of one who used to 

live there.

(342) 身にしみてあはれ知らする風よりも月にぞ秋の色はありける

涼しい風は秋の興趣を知らせてくれますが、秋の風情は月にこそあります

The cool breeze heralds the coming of autumn, but the true essence of autumn is found in the moon.

 

(343) 虫の音にかれゆく野辺の草むらにあはれをそへてすめる月影

虫の音につつまれて枯れてゆく野辺の草むらに、澄んだ月影が趣をそえています

Surrounded by the sounds of insects, grass are withering in the field. The clear moonlight adds a touch of 

charm to them.

 

(344) 人も見ぬよしなき山の末までにすむらん月のかげをこそ思へ

だれも注意を払わないありふれた山の隅々までさす澄んだ月影をこそ思うべきです

I should think of the clear moonlight that shines on every corner of this ordinary mountain that no one pays 

attention to.

 

(345) 木の間漏る有明の月をながむればさびしさそふる峰の松風

木の間から漏る有明の月をながめていると、松の梢を吹く風がさびしさを添えます

As I gaze upon the early morning moon filtering through the trees, the wind blowing through the pine treetops 

adds a touch of loneliness.

 

(346) いかにせんかげをば袖に宿せども心の澄めば月の曇るを

我が袖で月明かりを隠して悲しみを隠しても、心が晴れると月が曇ってしまうのをどうすればよいでしょうか。

Even if I hide my sorrow by hiding the moonlight with my sleeve, what can I do when the moon becomes cloudy when my heart clears?

 

(347) くやしくも賤の伏屋とおとしめて月の漏るをも知らで過ぎける

卑賤のあばらやと馬鹿にして月の漏れ入るのを知らずに過ごしたのは惜しいことです

It is regrettable that I spent my time there ignoring the lowly hut and not realizing the moon light filtering in.

(348) あばれたる草の庵にもる月を袖にうつしてながめつるかな

草に囲まれた荒れ果てた小屋の中で、袖に映る月明かりを眺めています

I’m gazing upon the moon light, reflected on my sleeve, in the dilapidated hut surrounded by grass.

あばれたる：荒れ果てた

(349) 月を見て心うかれしいにしへの秋にもさらにめぐりあひぬる

月を眺めて心を浮き立たした昔のあの秋に再び逢いました

I once again encountered that autumn when I had gazed upon the moon and felt joy in my heart.

 

(350) なにごとも変りのみゆく世の中に同じ影にてすめる月かな

すべてが変化する世界で、月は同じ影を浮かべて明るく輝きます

In a world where everything is changing, the moon shines clear with the same shadow.
