(111) 吉野山峯なる花はいづかたの谷にか分きて散りつもるらん

吉野山の峰の花はどこかの谷に分け入って積もっていることでしょう

The flowers on the peaks of Mt. Yoshino are probably piled up in a valley somewhere.

 

(112) 山おろしの木のもと埋む花の雪は岩井に浮くも氷とぞ見る

山おろしの風に散って木のもとに埋められた雪のような花は岩清水に浮いても氷のようです

The snow-like flowers scattered by the mountain wind and buried under the trees look like ice even when 

floating in the rocky water.

木のもと（このもと）

埋む（うづむ）：埋められて

岩井：岩の間から湧く泉

 

(113) 春風の花の吹雪に埋まれて行きもやられぬ志賀の山道

春風の花の吹雪に埋められて志賀の山道は難渋しました

Shiga's mountain trails were difficult due to the blizzard of flowers in the spring breeze.

 

(114) 立ちまがう峯の雲をば払ふとも花を散らさぬ嵐なりせば

立ちのぼる峯の雲を払っても花を散らさない嵐だったらいいのに

I wish it were a storm that wouldn't scatter the flowers even if it swept away the rising clouds over the 

mountain.

 

(115) 吉野山花吹き具して峯超ゆる嵐は雲とよそに見ゆらん

花を吹き散らして吉野山の峰を超える嵐は、遠くからは雲と見えるでしょう

A storm blowing away flowers and crossing the peaks of Mt. Yoshino will look like clouds from a distance.

よそに：よそ目には

 

(116) 惜しまれぬ身だにも世にはあるものをあなあやにくの花の心や

私は世間に惜しまれることもなく生きているのに、惜しまれて散る花の心は切ない

While I live without being missed by people, the heart of flowers that are missed and fall is sad.

あなあやにくの：あぁ憎らしい

 

(117) 憂き世には留め置かじと春風の散らすは花を惜しむなりけり

春風は花を散らします、なぜなら花にとってこの世はあまりに悲しいことに満ちているから。私は春風に散る花を惜しんでいます。

The spring breeze scatters flowers, because the world is too full of sadness for them.

I miss the flowers that fall in the spring breeze.

 

(118) もろともに我をば具して散りね花憂き世を厭ふ心ある身ぞ

花よ、私をつれて散ってくれ、憂き世を厭う私なのだから

Flower, please scatter with me, for I am sad and hate the world.

 

(119) 思へただ花の散りなん木のもとに何を陰にて我が身住みなん

花が散った木のもとで、私は何をたよりに生きていけばよいのでしょう

What should I rely on to live under a tree whose flowers have fallen?

 

(120) ながむとて花にもいたく馴れぬれば散る別れこそ悲しかりけり

花は長く見慣れているので、散る別れは悲しくなります。

Since I get used to flowers with looking long, the parting when they fall will be sad.
